Bereavement - support organisations

• The Bereavement Register
  The Bereavement Register is a service specifically designed to remove from databases and mailing files, the names and addresses of people who have died.
• Child Bereavement Trust
  Information and support for professionals and parents.
• CRUSE Bereavement Care
  Provides help for people who have been bereaved by death, through one-to-one counselling and group support - including a group for newly bereaved people. It has no religious or political affiliations and everyone is welcome.
• INQUEST
  Provides advice and information for anyone facing an inquest, and has unique experience and knowledge of the inquest system.
• National Association of Widows
  Offers telephone support and advice. They can put widows in contact with people in their area who are in a similar situation.
• Roadpeace
  Support for those bereaved or injured in road accidents.
• Samaritans
  The Samaritans offer 24-hour telephone support to anyone who is feeling lonely, or who is going through a crisis such as bereavement. The service is confidential. The Samaritans offer face-to-face befriending during the day at their local branches. Tel: 0345 909 090 (or 0845 790 90 90)
• SANDS (Still Birth and Neonatal Death Society)
  Provides support for bereaved parents when their baby dies before, during or soon after birth.

  If you are saddened and dejected at losing a beloved pet, you will find a sympathetic ear, understanding and support at their pet bereavement service.

• Pet Crematoria and Cemeteries APPCC WEB SITE
  Well worth a visit to allay any concerns or fears you may have about finding your pet its final resting place. They have a code of practice which their members follow.
• Pet Loss Site
  A site full of information to help you come to terms with the loss of your pet, including a chat room where you can "talk" to people who understand what you are going through.
